Comment: Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion and catching up. I am still working as a geologist in Petaluma! I switched employers a year ago and am now working for Wood Environment and Infrastructure Solutions. My husband and I are enjoying being empty nestors. Our son is graduating from UCSC this spring. Our daughter graduated from college in 2018 and is now working as a sea kayak guide in Milford Sound, New Zealand. We've been to New Zealand when she was an exchange student, this year we are going to South America.

Are you coming to the reunion?:
I am definitely attending the reunion. I'm not brave enough to post my picture (can't seem to be able to file down my third horn); but I'm sure glad some of you have. I work and live in San Francisco, have two wonderful children (girl 15 and boy 9)and a great spouse who tells me not to eat and drink so much (the third horn is not the real problem with my appearance, actually.) I look forward to sharing stories with you all.--Misha Dobrov |

Comment: Hey everyone! It's been so good to reconnect to good old (not literally, of course) Los Altos High folks! I am really looking forward to this reunion since I haven't been to one before. I am working on finding a 'Then' picture (although I may have burned all evidence of my bad '70's fashion a long time ago). In the meantime I scrounged up a picture of myself in uniform for your amusement. So I have gone from '70's to '80's to men's clothes. Yes it's true...I now buy my shirts by my neck size. What is up with that anyway you guys? What does my neck size have anything to do with my chest? But I digress. So I graduated LAHS, attended SJSU and received a Business Marketing degree (you would have thought I realized they had a great Aviation Program there, but no). Loral Aerospace lured me in and hired me as a Software Engineer, so instead I started taking flying lessons with my first paycheck out at Palo Alto Airport (anyone remember Taigh Ramey? He was my first Flight Instructor!). Ten years later, from my cubicle window at Loral overlooking San Jose airport, I began pining for the great blue yonder. So I quit my high paying engineering job to become a starving student, then Flight Instructor, until I was hired by Delta in 2000. But WOW! What great fun it has been! A dream come true. So now I live and am based in Cincinnati, which is really a fantastic city. Hey, what we lack in Pacific Ocean we make up for with Ohio River. OK, let's just face it...I miss California. So I can't wait to see you all next fall! Suzanne
Are you coming to the reunion?: The good news is I am upgrading to Captain at the airline! The bad news is that I am in simulator training now and can't be at the reunion. I am SO sad to miss it! I was really looking forward to seeing everyone. Please e-mail or Facebook me so we can catch up anyway. Have a blast and can someone please organize a 31st reunion for next year? |
