I generally don't spend much time in the Bay Area any more, especially since my parents moved to Idaho after 45 years in the same house in Los Altos! Now they are just on the other side of town instead of 3 states away. My wife and I have made Idaho our home and playground, We like biking the awesome rail trails all over the state, but our favorites are the Weiser River Trail which is relatively close, and the trails up in the Coeur d'Alene area (right near where Lynn Gibson lives!). My son and I rode the entire 72 mile Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes together in one day back in the spring of '15. We had subsequently planned a return trip to ride the entire Bitterroot Loop (179 miles/300km) but we got rained out and haven't planned anything since due to other circumstances. We live in the Boise area in a late 70's split level (That 70's House) that we've fixed up a bit that sits on a 1/2 acre on a cul-de-sac. During the summer I like to scandalize my neighborhood by mowing my lawn while wearing a utility kilt. If you're wondering what I wear underneath it, usually a pair of boots or my Keen sandals. You know, living the Pacific Northwest lifestyle. Anyway, life is good. P.S. I updated my "now" photo with something less than 14 years old. It's a crop of a photo taken of our family for a Christmas card a couple years ago (I think it might have been the "Snowmageddon" winter). I tried to smile, but it was 10 degrees outside and my face was frozen. My daughter is to blame, as she insisted we had to go outside at that very moment and capture an image. The lovely lady is my wife, Leesa. (The previous photo was taken in the Spring of 2006 in New Mexico just before we moved to Idaho. It was taken on our hike through Tent Rocks National Monument.) |

Are you coming to the reunion?: No. It\'s planned for the same weekend as my wedding anniversary, so guess which takes precedence? |

My mom still lives in the house where I grew up in Los Altos, but I moved to Pleasanton 17 years ago to raise my family. Four children keep me busy with my youngest two in 2nd and 4th grades, and my oldest at Cal and my Senior in HS on her way to Duke next fall. I've stayed very close to a couple friends from LAHS and there's a larger group of 7 of us who have stayed in touch... but I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. |
