Comment: Graduated from Fresno State. Worked in accounting in Sunnvyalve till 1993. Met my husband on a blind date and gotted married in 1992. Moved to Whidbey Island, north of Seattle, in 1993. We opened a specialty beer store on Whidbey back in 2007.

Comment: Wow I just stumbled onto the "In Memoriam" page on here. SO SAD!!! 16 classmates from '80 and another 13 from '79, one of which was a really close friend of mine back then.





So sorry to hear about Billy Otto too. My wife and I ran into him in downtown years ago, he was the exact same person I remembered from Purissima School. Happy to see me, happy to chat about old times. And Janie Sykes, that's another close one since she also went to Purissima and lived near my best friend at the time.





The lesson for me is always the same, YOLO! I hope you all are living your lives to the fullest. I try to have some sort of fun or do something that challenges me everyday. I'm still excited to learn new things, which is funny because I HATED school. lol.





As for me, tomorrow I turn 60. I'm happy, which is sometimes hard to accomplish in this f'd up world today. My amazing wife and I will celebrate our 38 YEAR anniversary this year! She has been my absolute best friend since we met in 1982. We live in Palo Alto, my wife graduated Paly in '80 also and is a pediatric BSRN. I spent 33 years as the lead tech in a GM dealership. I quit at age 54 when the trade wasn't fun anymore and happily haven't had a W2 in 6 years!





We have two children we are SO proud of. Our daughter is married and has our two grandsons. She started and runs a very successful online fabric company. Our son is engaged and is a mechanical engineer working in the Bay Area.





We try to play and have fun as much as possible. We drive around the country in our RV, we boat, jet ski, ride dirtbikes and street bikes and of course are still into cars. Neither my wife or I want to have any regrets when we're on our deathbeds. Seeing those 16 classmates that can no longer make those decisions, I hope they had good lives and contributed some good to this silly world.
